  Obit-Gonzales Inquirer 19 Feb 1916 Young Man Despondent Over Ill Health Takes Own Life Ben Moore, aged seventeen years, son of Mrs. Frank Moore of the Maurin community, shot himself through the heart with a 45-caliber pistol Friday, 18 Feb 1916 at about 5 p.m. The tragedy occurred at the family home. The young man had been in ill health for some time, being a sufferer from tuberculosis. Despondency over his condition is assigned as the reson for the unfortunate act.
